Through cross-sectoral cooperation between academics, researchers, statisticians, policy makers and representatives of the sport movement, the iSport consortium is developing two main outputs:

  1. Guidelines on Investments in Sport, and
  2. Recommendations to Policy-Makers.

Those outputs should improve the level of knowledge on investments in sport and promote a wider understanding of the crucial role of sport as a driver for growth and employment.

Recognition of the societal and economic role of sport is especially important for the development of the long-term EU, national and regional strategies and policies in order to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
